Mitch defends mortgage lenders, mortgage investors and mortgage servicers from federal claims including under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and the Truth in Lending Act (TILA). Mitch defends mortgage lenders, mortgage investors and mortgage servicers in state claims arising out of wrongful foreclosures and predatory lending violations. Mitch also represents commercial mortgage lenders, mortgage investors and mortgage servicers in real estate related transactions and real estate litigation including workouts and foreclosures. Mitch represents clients in both federal and state trial and appellate courts. Mitch has been appointed attorney for various court appointed receivers throughout his years of practice.
Mitch is also the Chairman of the Commercial Foreclosure Sub-Committee for the Chancery Court Advisory Committee, and has been appointed to the Cook County Committee for the Appointment of Special Representatives.
Mitch has been rated AV Preeminent for over twenty-two years.
