Ruth B. Sosniak · Senior Counsel

Ruth has extensive experience in the practice of financial services and real estate litigation. Ruth concentrates her practice on advising clients on municipal law, land use and zoning. In addition, Ruth represents creditors, servicers and real estate investors in administrative proceedings, bankruptcy, consumer financial services litigation, complex commercial foreclosures, contested residential foreclosures, and receivership.

Prior to joining the firm, Ruth was a Senior Assistant Corporation Counsel at the City of Chicago Department of Law.  Ruth’s practice involved litigation, transactional and policy work related to the City’s low-income housing loan portfolio, property acquisition, and Building and Zoning Code enforcement.  While at the City, Ruth helped develop and implement the Chicago Abandoned Property Program, and the Troubled Buildings Initiative.
